Week 1: Foundations of textiles

How might you most effectively engage with the textile unit requirements and documentation?

The textile technology unit started off with a fast-paced BANG! It was evident from the residential school prior to week 1 that this was a unit that required me to be up to date and organised. The time difference between Queensland and Western Australia meant I would miss all the zoom sessions due to family commitments.

To engage in the unit I created a personal timetable and allocated study time for all units plus the additional time for creating and researching content for this blog.

I must be courageous as I venture into new technology and investigate its potential and capabilities.

What might you struggle with?

Stress, anxiety and feeling overwhelmed are the things I struggle with most. These feelings eventuate from dealing with negative people in my orbit, the pressures of university and being a part-time single parent who needs to work.

Courage will get me through this.
