AT3: Kunmadj - Dilly Bag

The sustainable bag made with recycled components.

The Kunmadj

Kunmadj is an Australian Aboriginal bag that women use. They are traditionally made by weaving reads and leaves and hold fish caught or food foraged.

My Dilly Bag inspiration idea

Originally I was going to make a simple Dilly bag utilising recycled jeans from the op shop.

When I found my jeans in the Op Shop, they had a beautiful decorative leg, so I decided to utilise the who leg of the jeans. I cut the jeans up the crutch and used 1 leg for the front and one for the bag.

Final Project outcome

Dilly bag will Op Shop Jeans and recycled materials from my sewing room and utilise jeans pockets and belt loops.
